How to Find your Purpose/Calling in Life

Do you find yourself questioning “what am I meant to do on this earth”? Your unique calling will come to you if you explore it in a reflective space and give this time and energy. We are always looking for our purpose as though we have lost it.

It is like when you are trying to find your glasses and they were on your head the whole time, or your keys and they were in your pocket the whole time. It is the same principle your purpose is in your heart, and it has been there the whole time, it is just sometimes you may feel blocked and feel like you can’t access this.

Sometimes you need to get out of your head and into your heart.

I truly believe all of us want to keep levelling up, keep improving, keep developing and achieving and keep moving forward, but we are not always sure how to get to where we need to be.

That can make us feel low, depressed, worthless, empty and uninspired. Here are some simple questions for you to explore to support you to unlock your purpose, you need to challenge yourself and the best way to do that is ask yourself the reflective questions.

The quality of your life rests on the quality of the questions you are asking yourself and the thoughts you allow in your head, the good news is you have control over both.

Step One Reflective Questions:

What is the point of life? Explore what do you think is the point to life, the meaning of it? Yes people have been asking this question from the dawn of time, and yet sometimes we are still not sure of the answer. Or we just don’t sit down and take the time to truly think about this. For some it comes in the form of religion, for some spirituality, maybe its children or your passion for the work you do. May be this is the first time you have ever considered this. Everyone will have a different answer, and that’s ok. There is no right and wrong answer to this, there is no one size fits all. What does it mean to you?

Step Two Reflective Questions:

What brings you joy? What would you love to do? What do you actually want? Have you ever questioned what you really want, or admitted it? I used to be so scared to ask myself this question and to admit some of the dreams I had. Now this is something I am clear and comfortable with. But it was not always this way and sometimes my fear was based on what others might think of me.

Write your wish list now… no time like the present. Try not to focus on what you don’t want, this leaves you stuck in your old mindset, reframe your intentions positively and your energy will follow your new focus.

Step Three Reflective Questions:

I bring value to others but how do I live on purpose? Am I living with intension and awareness? Do you have the desire to design your life? Do you believe you are worth more? What is stopping you? Example:

- Yes I would love to do that, but I’m not clever enough.

- I would love to do that, but I wouldn’t know where to start.

- But I’m not brave enough etc..

Here are some things which stop people from moving forward; they don’t believe they are good enough, that they don’t make connections like other people or that the things they want aren’t available to them. These are thoughts most people think.

The difference is how you react when you think these thoughts. These irrational thoughts stop you living your best life. Be mindful of this, think to yourself “is this thought true?”. How do you react when you think the negative thoughts. Most people are being held back in life on a lie. Ask yourself, is this thought moving me towards my goal? If not than reframe it, take the thought, and frame it as positive. Be flexible with your thinking and kind to yourself.

Step Four Reflective Questions: What's your reason why? Now think about your WHY before you start to focus on how to get your goals achieved. Why is this important to you? Everyone’s why is different. For me, my why is my purpose to help others, for my children so they can see what is possible and to be able to spend more time with them, to travel as much as I can as this is a true passion of mine. Write down yours… don’t just think it, start to ink it.

Once you start living your life on purpose you will feel good, and you will be ready to attract everything you desire.

“Nothing happens until something moves when something vibrates, the electron of the entire universe resonates with it. Everything is connected” – Albert Einstein.

Manifesting is not a new concept; it has been around and practised in ancient wisdom traditions around the world for thousands and thousands of years.
